Sunday, May 17 Spring Open House
Come and see what is new at the Williams County Historical Society. Myrna Grove, local author, will be featuring a multimedia presentation focusing on Lincoln’s years in New Salem and Springfield Illinois, where he spent most of his adult life before leaving for Washington D. C. in 1861. Presentation at 2pm.
Sunday, June 7-Thursday, June 30 Wms. Co. Artisan Show
View 30 Chairs in 30 Days: Featuring a selection of decorated chairs from our Take A Seat Chair-ity Auction. In honor of the international award winning exhibition 100 Chairs in 100 Days by Martino Gamper. Meet the artists Thursday, June 11 from 5-7pm.
Thursday, June 11 Old Fashioned School Day
Step Back into the year 1910 and attend a one room school house for the day. Bring your lunch pail and wear your dress or knickers. Fun for ages 8 and up registration required. Please no large groups.

Saturday, July 18 Night at the Museum Visit the Williams County Historical Society after dark for a flashlight tour of the museum and historic buildings. Meet living history characters from our county. 7pm to 11pm.
Sunday, August 2 Hay Jay School Tour
Experience the history of a one-room schoolhouse complete with puncheon desks and McGuffery Readers. Old-Fashioned games for kids and the young at heart.
Thursday, August 20 An Evening with the Lincoln’s
Listen to history coming to life as Abraham Lincoln, played by Lou Harding, and Mary Todd Lincoln, played by Kelly Michael, speak about their lives. 6pm.
Sunday, September 13 Quaker Meeting House Tour. Experience the history of the Quakers in Williams County and tour the only known Meeting House in Northwest Ohio.
Sunday, September 27 Gallery Talk: The Lincoln Family Featuring a multimedia presentation by Joan Flinspach, former Director of the Lincoln Museum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. 2pm.
Saturday, October 24 Great Pumpkin Spectacular
Decorate a pumpkin in the scariest, silliest, cutest, or most unique fashion. The event will bring together everyone young at heart to tour the museum and view the pumpkins to be auctioned at 7pm. Public viewing will be Thursday and Friday 1-7pm. This new fundraiser will benefit the WCHS Capital Fund.
Sunday, November 1 Hall of Recognition/Sports Hall of Fame Induction of Individuals from Williams County who are being recognized for accomplishments in their community as well as individuals who have garnered recognition for their athletic accomplishments. To nominate contact the Society at 419-485-8200. 2pm.
Thursday, November 5 Annual Banquet Join us to honor our Volunteer of the Year and to recognize the County's Centennial Farms. Hosted at the Williams County Veterans Memorial. 6 to 8:30pm.
Program Location
Programs are held at the Williams County Historical Museum, or at the historical site indicated. All events are from 1 to 4pm unless otherwise marked. Open to all.
